Princess House Nouveau Cookware

We ran across some unique pieces in our travels.

Not knowing exactly what they were, we decided to purchase them anyway.

Come to find out, they are vintage pieces of Princess House cookware that were made back in the 1980's.

The Princess House Nouveau cookware is based on the traditional corning ware ceramic pieces that we are all familiar with.

They can be used on the stovetop, microwave, oven, freezer, and are dishwasher safe.

Their unique difference from the corning is the handy removable handle.

It is great when taking it from the microwave - just snap it on and no burnt fingers.

I was tempted to keep the set - they are just like new - and oh so versatile.

But since we are downsizing, I'll just stick to what I have been using for the last 30 years.

We are running each piece on Ebay over the next couple of weeks.

Be sure to check them out - they are unique and you don't see them around to often!

Sterling Silver Medals with Gold

We have been adding more of the Mayors Medals by the Franklin Mint to our Ebay auctions.

They are one ounce of solid sterling silver with a coating of 24K gold.

They are beautifully designed with the largest cities in the US according to the 1970's records.

We do combine shipping for these coins.

The melt price of silver is a bit over $35 an ounce as of this post.

These medals are a great investment at this time - silver was almost $50 an ounce just a few months ago.

It is expected to go back up - so grab the deals now!

Calendar Zodiac Silver Medal

We have a most unique piece going up for auction next week.

It is a solid sterling silver round that is made by the Whittnauer Mint.

This large medal features the year 1973 in calendar form - six months on one side and the other six on the other side.

It also has each Zodiac sign for each month.

It is part of a set that includes 6 smaller sterling silver medals with "Winter" being the theme for them.

And as if this set wasn't special enough, we also have an identical one in bronze.

Two very rare sets that would make a great gift for an astrology collector as well as those who collect silver.

Sterling Silver Indians

We are listing several more of the sterling silver American Indians this weekend.

They are beautiful collectibles that have been selling quite well these past couple of weeks.

Next week we will adding the really famous ones such as Sitting Bull and Pontiac.

Geronimo is my husband's favorite.

He was one tough man that went through much in his life.

I may save that one as a gift for him, I haven't decided yet.

Don't miss what we have online - this rare collection is almost gone.

Good luck!

More Indians Next Week

Next weekend is a holiday in the US.

Labor day marks the end of the summer for us and the beginning of the school year for the kids.

Many families are making the most of this last long weekend of summer and are enjoying get-aways and visitors.

And the computer is the last thing on their minds for the most part.

Over the years I have found that online sales are really slow during these holiday weekends.

So we will not be posting any more of the sterling silver American Indian coins until next week so they end after the holiday.

We have a little over half of the set left.

Stay tuned!

American Indian Leaders Medallions

We have begun to list on Ebay a most interesting, quite rare collection of silver rounds.

The collection is called: American Indian Leaders Medallions.

It was minted by the Osborne Mint in 1979-1980.

There are 48 rounds that are made of Sterling Silver.

They are one ounce each.

They feature many of the famous Indian leaders from tribes across the US.

Only 5000 of these sets were produced.

We are listing them separately over the next few days, so if anyone is interested in the whole lot, they need to let me know so I can end the listings already on Ebay.

I would rather have kept them all together, but sadly they are valued more separately.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask - just leave a comment or go through the contact us link on the store website.

Rare Mrs Albee Award Glasses

We ran across this set of 12 stemware a while ago, and I have searched the internet and have not been able to find anything like them, anywhere.

They are an Avon award given to their members who had outstanding sales in the early 1970's.

From what I can gather, there were only six sets given out for the different regions across the country.

They feature Mrs Albee, the first Avon lady, dressed in all her finery of the late 1800's.

She is etched into the glass - the same design is on both the small and large glasses.

They are still in the original box that they arrived in back in the 1970's.

We have them listed on Ebay, and you can find the listing here.

They are a fine set of collectibles, and if you know anything about them, I would love to hear from you!

Only a Caretaker

Collectibles - we do not own them.

We may think we do, but true antiques and collectibles have been in many other's possession many times before.

And the reason you are holding them today is the same reason you have them.

You love them and take good care of them.

So they can be passed to the next person who will do the same.

We are only caretakers, as the previous ones who came before us and the ones who will come after us are also.

I sometimes wonder if they could talk, I bet the stories we would hear would be something.

Enjoy them while they are with you, and pass them on knowing that you have done your best with them.

Old Sheet Music

We have several paper collectibles of vintage sheet music in our inventory.

They date back to the early 1900's.

They are in various states of condition, but considering their age, and the fact that they are paper, they are holding up well.

We have others that we haven't listed yet, so if you have any questions or interest, please let me know.

Silver Medals

The spot price for gold and silver has risen sharply over the last few months.

Last year at this time, the spot price for silver was $18 per ounce, two years ago it was $12.

As of Friday's close, the spot price for silver was $43 an ounce.

We acquired a partial set of the Masterpieces of Raphael that was minted by the Franklin Mint back in the late 1970's and early 1980's.

We only have two of these gold plated over silver metals left from this collection.

You can find them listed here.

By clicking on their photos in the store, you can find all the details for each one.
