Summer on Ebay

It has always been slow during the summer.

Ebay just isn't the place to be when summer comes calling.

I admit, being outside is sure tempting, and I tend to give in more and more as the summer progresses.

But we are still listing regularly on ebay.

So keep us in mind and check in once in a while to see if we have anything you need or can use.

The KML website is winding down - we hope to retire in a couple of years.

Ebay will always be around for us, but on a smaller scale after we move out the inventory we have.

Taxes Finally Done

It took about a month, but the taxes are now finally done for another year.

It is always a relief to have that big job done.

The computer and online filing certainly makes the job so much easier.

The program that we use automatically imports all the info from the previous year, so that saves a lot of time right there.

No addition errors, no missing entries, and no running around to try to find all the forms we need to file.

And the big one - no worrying if it got lost in the mail to the IRS and we get penalized for not filing.

All filed, all accepted, and now just awaiting the refund - which we can track online too.

I love my computer!!

Time for Taxes

It's getting to that time of year again.

Time to do the taxes.

I feel like the baker in the old Dunkin Donuts commercial - dreading it and being half with it as I delve into it.

But once the paperwork gets organized, and the the book-work gets calculated for each month through the year, things start to get smoother.

It will take a couple of weeks to finally get everything together, but it is a good feeling to have it underway.

A very big part of being in business for oneself, and once it is done it will be such a relief.

Back to the books I go!

Lots of Auctions

The Christmas shopping season has been moving right along and we have had some happy buyers over the last couple of weeks.

Of course, the economy has taken a toll on people's spending habits, and we have noticed this with many of our auctions.

Everyone wants and needs a good deal these days and the prices reflect that.

We usually try to keep about 130 items listed on ebay at all times.

Lately we have been up over 200.

And they are really good deals that make great gifts for the holidays.

We ship most things by priority mail so there is still plenty of time left for getting them in time.

Adding More Inventory

We have been spending time going through our inventory and making some changes.

The prices are being dropped down.

Some of the older items are hard to find.

Those who are looking for them will be pleased.

We are also moving items from the web store into the eBay store.

We really want to move out the inventory and our customers will reap the rewards.

And in this economy good deals are what everybody wants!

JFK Sterling Silver Art Round

We have been listing a few collectible sterling silver coins these last couple of weeks.

They are from the John F Kennedy Commemorative Medal Series that was minted back in the early 1970's

The one we listed last night was titled: Addressing the United Nations.

Each coin is solid sterling silver and weighs an ounce.

Readying for the Season

The shopping season for the upcoming holidays is fast approaching.

We have a plan - list as much as we can in the Ebay store so we can reduce our inventory load.

There will be many things going on as auctions.

And they will be starting off really low - some of them will start at .99 cents.

We need to clear out much of what we have on hand.

Because part of our plan includes a move - hopefully within a year.

It will be time to begin thinking about retirement.

Not completely of course - we will still be here - but on a smaller scale with smaller inventory to fit in a smaller house.

Downsizing.

Hopefully we have something you are interested in in the coming months.

It would really help us a lot if you could use it or give it a new home.
