Lots of Auctions

The Christmas shopping season has been moving right along and we have had some happy buyers over the last couple of weeks.

Of course, the economy has taken a toll on people's spending habits, and we have noticed this with many of our auctions.

Everyone wants and needs a good deal these days and the prices reflect that.

We usually try to keep about 130 items listed on ebay at all times.

Lately we have been up over 200.

And they are really good deals that make great gifts for the holidays.

We ship most things by priority mail so there is still plenty of time left for getting them in time.

Adding More Inventory

We have been spending time going through our inventory and making some changes.

The prices are being dropped down.

Some of the older items are hard to find.

Those who are looking for them will be pleased.

We are also moving items from the web store into the eBay store.

We really want to move out the inventory and our customers will reap the rewards.

And in this economy good deals are what everybody wants!

JFK Sterling Silver Art Round

We have been listing a few collectible sterling silver coins these last couple of weeks.

They are from the John F Kennedy Commemorative Medal Series that was minted back in the early 1970's

The one we listed last night was titled: Addressing the United Nations.

Each coin is solid sterling silver and weighs an ounce.

Readying for the Season

The shopping season for the upcoming holidays is fast approaching.

We have a plan - list as much as we can in the Ebay store so we can reduce our inventory load.

There will be many things going on as auctions.

And they will be starting off really low - some of them will start at .99 cents.

We need to clear out much of what we have on hand.

Because part of our plan includes a move - hopefully within a year.

It will be time to begin thinking about retirement.

Not completely of course - we will still be here - but on a smaller scale with smaller inventory to fit in a smaller house.

Downsizing.

Hopefully we have something you are interested in in the coming months.

It would really help us a lot if you could use it or give it a new home.

Some New Inventory

We have been adding a different kind of inventory to our Ebay store.

Some used automotive parts have become available, and we will be listing them over the next few weeks.

So far we have added some hard to find 1991 Volvo 940 parts.

A couple of them sold right off.

Hoping to draw in some new customers by adding some different items to our mix.

We're Still Here

It's been a while since my last post.

Time has been very busy over here at KML's Corner.

Lots of stuff has been going up on Ebay at lower prices - we are working to clear out some inventory.

And there has been some behind the scenes work going on with the website.

For too long my feeds into the Google marketplace have not been working.

Much was changed with that feature last fall, and I am now getting it fixed on the site.

What a job it is.

So much inputting and trying to find the necessary fields that are needed to process the feed.

Much of my inventory doesn't have it, and without it, it creates errors and the feed gets rejected.

Yikes - time to move some out of the store and over to Ebay.

It's a job that is going to take a big chunk of time.

We are still here and still posting - just more behind the scenes.

A Great Sale

Ebay is having a great sale for store owners.

They are offering free listing of auctions for all store owners until March 31.

Now that is a substantial savings.

Those who only list once in a while are used to free auction listings.

But it is the steady sellers that pay, and this break is a needed one.

So we are listing like crazy now.

Everyday we put up new stuff instead of the four days we usually do.

Hopefully the buyers are watching and spending.

Still Posting and Listing

Time has flown - I cant' believe my last post was on Jan. 22.

An update is needed for sure.

As stated in my previous posts, income taxes were a big job that required a big chunk of my time.

They are now all done, and what a relief it is.

We are now very busy loading up our ebay store with lots of stuff.

They are offering free listing of auction items only until 2/21.

That is an offer that is just too good to be true.

We have been able to list about fifteen new things each day, and I will continue to get as many on as I can during this time.

Still Figuring

We haven't posted too many different new items in the store for the past couple of weeks.

We are hoping to get a chance to get some new items in there this coming week.

Working on the books for taxes is a big job.

And I don't see an end in sight yet.

Last year was the earliest we had ever got them done - the second week in February.

Would like to see them done by then this year, but it isn't looking that way yet.

Oh well, back to the grind - the adding machine and computer are working overtime!

Book Work Overload

Now that the old year has ended, it is time to get down to some serious book work.

Time to organize all the expenses.

Time to get the invoices in order.

Time to scrutinize the pages and pages of payments.

And time to add all this stuff up, categorize it, and input the numbers by month into the computer accounting program.

Then we can start thinking about those dreaded taxes.

Should take a good couple of months to get this all done.

And I am so thankful that the computer can do so much - I remember many years of doing all this stuff by hand.

One couldn't wait until year-end, it had to be done as you went along.

Things have certainly come a long way!
